Space Wolves
This is the space wolf army I'm currently Gaming with. You may
notice some plastic RTB101 grey hunters with a few updates. There is
also a 2nd edition wolfguard and grey hunters and 3rd edition scouts.
I prefer the 3rd edition scouts to the 4th edition metal models
and 5th edition plastic upgrades.

Long Fangs, Predator with Auto Canon Grey Hunters, Blood Claws, Castellan
Robot and Iron Priest, Wolf Scouts, Wolf Guard in Terminator Armour, Sky
Claws, HQ. The Imperial guard Castellan robot is from rouge trader and doesn't
currently have rules; but can be used as a Dreadnought with heavy

Wolf Lord

Wolflord based on the 1995 Ragnar Blackmane
model. The leg and arm have been re positioned and the bolt pistol
has been replaced with a plasma pistol. This was painted in 2011
-
Ulrik the
Slayer
-
-
This is the original Ulrik the Slayer
model. There are only 2 minor differences to the current model. The first
being that older space wolve backpack design with a baner pole is
used (There will be a baner there one day), the second is that it's made
of metal. From memory there should be some detail his left sholder pad, but I
don't apear to have the reference material anywhere. For the most part I have
copied the current studio paint schemea for this model although some how it
looks quite differenent. I'm not sure if it's a defect in the casting or an
optical trick but the helment on this one looks wider than the studio
model.
- Njal Storm Caller
-
-
-
-
Njal Stormcaller in Terminator armour. This is the metal
version of the model. Other than basing resin and sand it's hasn't been changed
from the original design. This was painted in 2012 using a blended non metalic metal technique. Somewhat in
a rush for a game I didn't quite get it finished. I intend
revisit it one day to finish the base, staff and furs.

Wolf Guard
-
-
1995 Wolf
Guard in terminator armour (Painted 1996). These old Wolf Guard Terminators
date back to the end of Rogue Trader but still look great on the
battle field. The new Terminators are bigger, have more dynamic
poses and have the added advantage of being made of plastic but this is only
noticeable if placed side by side with the old ones. If placed alone on the
battle field these older terminators look perfectly acceptable.
-
Wolf Guard in
Power Armour
-
-
1995 Wolf Guard in power armour and 1992 Space Wolf
Captain. Painted between 1993 and 2010. The unit of metal wolfguard in
power armour has taken me years to collect. Only the later Wolf Guard
with twin wolf claws is left to be added.
-
Plastic
Wolf Guard
Terminators
-
-
-
2010 Wolf Guard in Terminator Armour and 1995 Wolf Guard in Terminator
Armour. The model with the assault canon has the legs and Power Fist arm
from the White Dwarf Blackreach Terminator. The Model with a
Cyclone and the model with a wolf skin on his back are
older metal Terminators.

going behind enemy lines these scouts
can make an huge difference in games of
Apocalypse.

Blood
Claws
-
-
2009 Plastic Space Wolf
Blood Claws. Painted: 2011 Legs and Torsos from Tactical Marines have been
used to crate this squad. Doing this bring more variety to the army. As Blood Claws are new recruits it stands
to reason they will not have as many battle
trophies as more experienced Space Wolves.

Rogue Trader Blood Claws
-
-
The first
release of Blood claws took place right before 40k Second Edition, these models
are therefor though of as Second Edition Space Wolves. The Sergeant in this
squad has been converted from a standard "strike force" space marine. The hermit
has been chopped of and placed on the hip. The Power fist comes from the
Devastator Sergeant. The Chain sword comes from a Chaos Marine. The Wolf pelt
on the chain sword is from a Wolf Guard terminator. The head is from an old
plastic scout. All other work of the model has been done with green stuff.
There are 4 actually Blood Claw models and two old Mk 6 space marines. There
were some rule for a Wolf Guard called Durfast in the old Space wolves codex
who had a wolf heam. I have used the old
Space Wolf Captain model as this model.
-
Gray Hunters
-
-
-
2009 Plastic Space Wolf
Gray Hunters and Wolf Guard (Painted: 2011). This Pack Leader is armed
with a Power fist. Components from the tactical marine box set have
also been used in this squad.
-
Original Gray
Hunters
-
-
1993 Gray Hunters (Painted 2010-12). This pack is led by
a Space Marine in Mk8 Power Armour. Parts of the current plastic Space Wolves
pack have been used to make the old metal model a little more wolf like. The
squad is armed wish a Power Fist and Plasma Gun, the pack leader has a plasma
pistol.
-
Rogue Trader
Gray Hunters
1988 Rouge Trader RTB01 plastic Space Marines
(Painted as Spacewolve Gray Hunters in 1994).
MKII Rhino
The current plastic Rhino kit with an added icon
from the drop pod kit. This tank has been painted with a spray gun using a
Shadow Grey and Space Wolf Grey mix. Other thn the icon and metal no
highlighting has been used.
MKI Razorback
This Mk 1 Razorback is made from the original plastic and metal kit the
only thing that has been changed is the Bolter on top of the turret and
reposistioned headlight. The original hand rails and dozer blade are missing.
The razorback has only had two kits produced. The current kit is complety metal
and does not have a gunner on top of the tank.
Fast Attack
Sky
Claws
1993 Metal Space Wolves Blood Claws (Painted
as Sky Claws in
1995). Four of these Sky Claws are made from standard metal Mk 6 blood claws
the fifth is a Mk 7 metal Assault Marine which has been converted to have Mk 7
blood claw legs. The jump packs are the old metal packs from the Metal Assault
Squad. This squad doesn't fit with the current codex as it has two many Power
Gloves.
Heavy Support
Predator
This Mk 1
Predator is made from the original plastic kit the only thing that has been
changed is the Bolter on top of the turret. The original hand rails are not
present. The Predator went thought a number of redesigns over the years. The
turrets and sponsors were changed to a squarer design. A round design was then
used for the Las Conon armed Annialator both kits usedcompletelymponents. The
current kit is completly plastic and uses the Mk 2 Rhino chassis. Forgeworld now
sell a resin conversion kit to retro fit the plastic kit to the older
design.
Long
Fangs
These long fangs have been made from a number of different kits.
Most of the heads and chest armour are from the current Space Wolves plastic box
set. Some of the legs are from old metal devistator marines, one is
from the Forge world Mk 5 marines. The Mk 5 armour model also uses a chest plate
and arms from the tactical box set and head from Forge World. There are a number
of different pattens of Missle lunchers in these squads some come from tactical box
sets, one is from Forge world, one is a hunter killer missile from
the tank sprue, whilst one is from the original RTB01 box
set.
Forge World Mk 5 Heresy Armour Long Fang
Rogue Trader Long Fangs
These long fangs are from the
from the 1st Long fang box set Games Workshop produced, right before the second
edition of 40K. The Sargeant is an old blood claw model. Armed with
two Missile Lunchers and two Las Cannons This squad can split it
fire between two tanks or take out a tank with the las Canons and
troops with Frag Missiles.
